30 Day Challenge

It’s been awhile since I wrote you. I’ve been busy on two other projects (https://www.radianthealthtoday.com and https://www.superhumantraining.com) which accounts for much of the limited communication.

The other reason is that I haven’t been practicing my skills. Makes it hard to write about when you’re not actively doing them. 🙁

But now’s its time for that to change. I’m setting myself a 30 day challenge in two ways.

1. Practice some amount of hand balancing every single day.

It doesn’t have to be a large chunk of time but I will be hand standing in one sort or another each and every day.

My question to you is have you been practicing? And how consistent are you? If you’d like feel free to join me.

That leads to the second part of my challenge…

2. Post something on the site every single day.

Often times this may just be a short update on what I practiced and anything I learned from the practice that day.

Other days it may be an inspirational video if I have no words to write.

Sometimes it’ll be more.

In fact, to give myself a jump start and get me more fired up to pursue these goals I’ve starting attending a gymnastics class once again.

And this led to the first piece up here now, Back to Gymnastics.

You are welcome to join me in this 30 day challenge, not just in practicing but in posting in here the comments each day (or when ever you choose).

Good Luck and Good Hand Balancing,
Logan Christopher

Okay, I’m with you on this. I’ll try doing some hand balancing training every day for thirty days. Today I held a frogstand for 60 seconds– that’s the longest I’ve been able to do this.

CC is going great – since I got it from your link/book in April, I’ve been pretty good – 3 times a week for about 15 minutes really isn’t that big of a commitment, however, cranking out 4 full slow HS pushups after 2 sets of 10 one arm half pushups is! Thatʻs what I like best about your site(s) – having fun and itʻs not a religious commitment 🙂

So Iʻm with you as well – I’ve been slacking a bit these last 2 weeks and need to recommit my commitment 😛

    yer (needlin’) pal,
    greg

@Greg Shim: Glad to hear of the progress Greg. Yes I can imagine handstand pushups become much harder after the one arm pushups. Isn’t it recommended to work those moves on different days?

    Hi Logan.

Fun challenge. Monday my training buddy challenged me to the very same thing. To do some handbalance each and every day for a month. He was getting irritated because I said I didn’t get any results. He said that if I did some handbalancing every day for a month without improving, then he would agree that I suck at handbalancing xD. But only then.

So I have taken up his challenge. I look forward to see where this takes me.
I look forward to reading your daily posts – I always get excited when you post.

    stay strong

    Ojo

@Ojo: Funny how things work like that. I guessing you don’t suck at hand balancing. I believe anyone can build up to at least a decent skill level with some practice.

Hehe.. since I am reading your blog for a while a now but haven’t postet yet, I think your challenge is worth a try. I haven’t practise much in the last time. So what a better start to go again?

I thank you for giving this drive to me because lately I havent been doing my handstands because of vacation. I have started the challenge today. I did about 5 – 10 mins. of handstands today. I will do more tomorrow. Thank you for the knowledge you have and share.

@Jacob: We all slip away from doing things we ought to be doing. Glad to have you join us.

@Greg Shim: Thanks for this Logan – I’ve been much more diligent about CC – 2×6 slow full pullups today (new personal best!) but those pistols are kicking my butt. I’ve been trying some rocking pistols with a 20 lb dumbell, that helps some, but it seems a crazy jump from 3×30 of close squats to that basketball thing (ok, I know it’s 2×20, but I was hoping that getting to 3×30 would help…it didn’t). Part of it might be me wrapping my head around a one legged squat – guess I’ll start GTG and see if that helps. You, Coach Wade, Pavel, I’ve been getting tricks from all of you (and more) and it’s slowly getting me there!
    yer pal,
    greg

@Greg Shim: When I was first learning pistols I used the box technique, that is where you sit down onto some sort of box or raised platform. As you progress you lower the box down until you don’t need it. That worked well for me!

How long should the balancing session be? Including resting episodes.
